Things that I believe are important in relationships:
• Chivalry
• Showing you care
• Compromise
• Respect
• Honesty
• Knowing how to hold your tongue
• Understanding
• Encouragement
• Having nights in
• Having nights out
• Having lazy days together
• Trying new things together
• Drinking lots of coffee together
• Long Car rides
• Intelligent conversationI feel like these are such basic things, however, I feel no one seems to appreciate stuff like this anymore. All I hear about is people whining because of something first world that the other didn’t do that one time, people trying to tell their partner that they’re opinion is wrong, or one always trying to act cool or attempt to be “badass”. Be yourself, but be open to others. Being happy is simple but everyone seems to be too focused on themselves. Remove selfishness and the relationship will go better.
Then again who am I to speak, I’m single. I blame having values and beliefs. Oh well!
